Who we are

We are neighbors.

Shadyside Community Partnership is a volunteer-led nonprofit at the heart of Pittsburgh's East End. We are not a city agency or a business district. We are neighbors working alongside residents, businesses, property owners, and civic partners to keep Shadyside alive and evolving.

Our calling is simple: help Shadyside evolve without losing what makes it special. We are on your side. That's not a slogan. It's how we operate. We listen before we act, include before we decide, and show up where the neighborhood needs us most.

We are actively pursuing 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation and recognition as a Pittsburgh Registered Community Organization — formal structures that give Shadyside a durable, recognized voice in zoning, planning, and development decisions.

Why Shadyside

Urban energy and neighborhood calm on the same block.

Shadyside is rare. Victorian architecture. Modern, diverse life. Walnut Street, Ellsworth Avenue, and South Highland Avenue within walking distance. Green space never far. One of the few places in Pittsburgh where car-free living is not a compromise.

It sits at the heart of Pittsburgh's East End, connecting neighborhoods, people, and ideas in every direction. Most places make you choose between character and growth. Shadyside has found that balance.
